Rennes Élayïs joins forces with Odoneila for a groovy summer banger. Things heat up on 'Sable Chaud'.
This track came up on my Release Radar this week - I once met Élayïs briefly in passing during lockdown and I remember that they gave me a business card with their socials. I remember thinking how genius that is for an artist to do?
Alas, Sable Chaud is a really solid effort of a fun summer track. The two artists trade unique refrains over the bouncy beat, the lyrics:
dance on the hot sand!
I want to touch your skin
Are reminiscent of a beach party in the summer, as the whirling vocals pan round the track there are steel drums heard in the background too. The track is mixed and produced by Pierre Bouilleau.
a really promising effort from two French pop stars in the making.
